
The Raft Guide Training Course is designed for people who wish to work as professional river guides. The course gives a thorough training in all aspects of raft guiding and is delivered by internationally experienced and current rafting trainers.
This course is 5 days in duration. 4 days are dedicated to Raft guiding skills. 1 day is a river rescue skills training day specific to Rafting.
Uniquely a WWI raft guide training course gives you a skills record sheet, this is a record of skills you have learned to show to prospective employers. This is also useful for employers to demonstrate their staff do have a high level of appropriate training.

Site specific trip leader assessments are available. Our level 3 qualification is reserved for guides with a wide range of high level experience and who are able to trip lead in any rafted location. Because we recognize that there is a need for trip leaders for grade 3 and below rivers we offer outdoor centers site specific trip leader training and assessments. Contact WWI for details of site specific training and White Water Rafting technical advisory service to outdoor centres.

The 5 Day Raft Guide Course Costs £395
(self catering accommodation £495)
We recommend all guides take the 3 day Rescue 3 Swift Water Rescue course as it is internationally recognized and covers essential river rescue skills to make you a safer and much more employable guide. After taking the raft guide course if you then book a rescue 3 course with us you will be able to save money by only doing two days to gain the rescue 3 qualification (normally a 3 day course) as we will have covered the first day on your raft guide training.
The Rescue 3 Swift Water Rescue course £250 for the 3 day course. (£195 if you have already taken the raft guide course.)
